AGM  

Anna Gormezano Marks (aka AGM) is an artist based in Scotland since 2010 to study Painting & Visual Culture at Edinburgh College of Art. Primarily producing works on paper, her artwork and abstract illustrative style explores drawing processes and story telling through visual poetry inspired by natural phenomena, human and societal experience; interrogating themes of illusion, memory and time, with supporting writing, photography and material experimentation.

AGM's interest in mark making and iterative processes is rooted in written language and human rhythms and deviations. Writing guides the abstract imagery, creating an ebb and flow between mediums allowing for exploration between narrative and studio process.

Anna balances her artistic practice with Creative Consultancy - FromNow Studio, working on creative development projects independently and with universities and creative & cultural development programmes; supporting artist, creative and business communities, universities and creative & cultural development programmes.
